Armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, pull off a plan that will save the world.
“Ant-Man” is a 2015 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The film was directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, a former thief who becomes the superhero Ant-Man. The movie also stars Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym, the inventor of the Ant-Man suit, and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Pym’s daughter.
The plot follows Scott Lang as he is recruited by Dr. Pym to become the next Ant-Man and stop his former protégé Darren Cross, who has developed a similar shrinking technology and plans to sell it to dangerous organizations. With the help of Hope and the Ant-Man suit, Scott must carry out a heist to steal Cross’s technology and save the world from its potential misuse.
“Ant-Man” was generally well-received by audiences and critics, and it grossed over $500 million worldwide. The film’s success led to a sequel, “Ant-Man and The Wasp,” which was released in 2018, and the character of Ant-Man has since appeared in several other Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
