“Avengers: Endgame” is a 2019 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers. It is the direct sequel to 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War” and the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and features an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, and Josh Brolin.
The film follows the surviving members of the Avengers and their allies as they work to reverse the damage caused by Thanos in “Infinity War”. The Avengers embark on a mission to collect the Infinity Stones and use them to undo Thanos’ actions, which wiped out half of all life in the universe.
“Avengers: Endgame” was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $2.798 billion worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing film of all time at the time of its release. It was praised for its storytelling, character development, and emotional payoff, and is widely considered to be one of the best superhero films ever made.
