“Goodfellas” is a 1990 American crime film directed by Martin Scorsese. The film is based on the non-fiction book “Wiseguy” by Nicholas Pileggi, which chronicles the rise and fall of Henry Hill, a mobster associated with the Lucchese crime family. The film stars Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Ray Liotta, and is widely considered one of the greatest films ever made.

“Goodfellas” is known for its brutal violence, dark humor, and iconic soundtrack, as well as its masterful use of voiceover narration and hand-held camera work to tell the story. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and is often cited as one of Scorsese’s finest works.
