“Home Alone” is a classic American comedy film directed by Chris Columbus and released in 1990. The movie stars Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, an eight-year-old boy who accidentally gets left behind by his family during their Christmas vacation.
With his parents and siblings off to Paris, Kevin initially enjoys his freedom, but soon has to fend for himself when two burglars, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), attempt to rob his home. Kevin uses his wits and resourcefulness to outsmart the burglars, setting up a series of traps and tricks to protect his house.
“Home Alone” was a huge box office success, becoming the highest-grossing live-action comedy film in the United States until 2011. It has since become a beloved holiday classic, with its memorable scenes and quotes remaining popular among audiences of all ages.
