Home Alone 3 is a 1997 family comedy film directed by Raja Gosnell and written by John Hughes. The movie is the third installment in the Home Alone franchise, but it does not feature the original cast or characters.
The plot of the movie revolves around a young boy named Alex Pruitt (played by Alex D. Linz) who is left home alone when his family goes on vacation. While he’s home alone, he becomes the target of four international thieves who are trying to recover a top-secret computer chip that they have hidden in a toy car that Alex accidentally takes home from the airport.
In terms of overall quality, Home Alone 3 is not as good as the original two movies in the franchise. The absence of the original cast and characters is felt, and the plot feels a bit forced and contrived. The humor is also not as clever or well-executed as in the previous films.
That being said, Home Alone 3 still has its moments of entertainment, especially for younger audiences who may not be as familiar with the original movies. Alex D. Linz delivers a solid performance as the young protagonist, and there are some fun action sequences involving the thieves and various booby traps that Alex sets up to protect his home.
In conclusion, Home Alone 3 is a decent family movie that may provide some entertainment for younger viewers, but it pales in comparison to the original Home Alone movies.
