John McClane and a young hacker join forces to take down master cyber-terrorist Thomas Gabriel in Washington D.C.
Live Free or Die Hard is a 2007 action movie directed by Len Wiseman and starring Bruce Willis as John McClane, a New York City police detective who finds himself caught up in a cyber-terrorism plot. The film is the fourth installment in the Die Hard film series.
In the movie, McClane is tasked with protecting a young hacker named Matt Farrell (played by Justin Long) who inadvertently becomes a target of a cyber-terrorist group led by Thomas Gabriel (played by Timothy Olyphant). The group’s goal is to cripple the United States’ computer infrastructure and steal trillions of dollars.
As McClane and Farrell race against time to stop the cyber-terrorists, they find themselves in a series of explosive and high-octane action sequences, including car chases, gunfights, and a showdown with a fighter jet.
