“North by Northwest” is a classic thriller film released in 1959, directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, and James Mason. The plot follows an innocent man named Roger Thornhill (played by Grant) who is mistaken for a government agent by a group of foreign spies. He is then pursued across the United States by both the spies and the police, and his journey takes him from New York City to Mount Rushmore.
The film is widely regarded as a masterpiece of suspense and features several iconic scenes, including the crop-dusting sequence and the final confrontation on Mount Rushmore. It was nominated for three Academy Awards and is considered one of the greatest films ever made.
