“Scream 2” is a 1997 American slasher film directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson. It is the second installment in the “Scream” film series and stars Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, and Jamie Kennedy, among others.

The movie follows Sidney Prescott (Campbell) as she attends college after the events of the first film, where she becomes the target of a new Ghostface killer who is mimicking the murders from the first movie. As the body count rises, Sidney and her friends must once again try to uncover the killer’s identity before it’s too late.

Released two years after the original “Scream” movie, “Scream 2” was a commercial and critical success, grossing over $172 million worldwide and receiving generally positive reviews. It has since become a cult classic and is regarded as one of the best horror sequels of all time.
