Scream 4″ is a horror movie that was released in 2011. It was directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson, who also wrote the previous three films in the “Scream” series. The movie stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette, reprising their roles from the earlier films, as well as Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and Rory Culkin.
The plot of the movie revolves around Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), who returns to her hometown of Woodsboro on the anniversary of the original “Ghostface” murders. As soon as she arrives, a new series of murders begins, and Sidney finds herself once again the target of a masked killer. As she tries to uncover the identity of the killer, she is aided by her old friends Dewey Riley (David Arquette) and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), as well as a new group of young people, including her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts).
Like the previous films in the series, “Scream 4” is a self-aware horror movie that plays with the conventions of the genre. It includes many nods to earlier horror movies and pokes fun at the cliches of the genre while still delivering plenty of scares and suspense. Overall, it was well-received by critics and fans of the series.
