Slumdog Millionaire” is a British drama film released in 2008. The movie was directed by Danny Boyle and co-directed by Loveleen Tandan. The film was based on the novel “Q & A” by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup.
The movie tells the story of a young man named Jamal Malik, who grows up in the slums of Mumbai, India. Jamal becomes a contestant on the Indian version of the game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”, and he begins to answer the questions with ease, leading the game show’s host and the police to suspect that he is cheating. The film then explores Jamal’s life story and how he came to know the answers to the questions on the game show.
The movie was critically acclaimed and won numerous awards, including eight Academy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, and seven BAFTA Awards. It was praised for its direction, cinematography, music, and performances by the cast, including Dev Patel, Freida Pinto, and Anil Kapoor.
