“Spider-Man 3” is a superhero film directed by Sam Raimi and released in 2007. It is the third installment in the “Spider-Man” film series, following “Spider-Man” (2002) and “Spider-Man 2” (2004).
In the film, Peter Parker (played by Tobey Maguire) struggles to balance his life as Spider-Man with his personal relationships. He must also confront new enemies, including the Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) and his former best friend Harry Osborn (James Franco), who becomes the new Green Goblin. Meanwhile, Peter’s relationship with Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) becomes strained as she becomes jealous of his friendship with Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard).
“Spider-Man 3” received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its action sequences and visual effects but criticizing its overly complicated plot and excessive characters. However, it was a box office success, grossing over $890 million worldwide.
It was also the last film in the “Spider-Man” series to feature Tobey Maguire as the titular character, as the franchise was rebooted in 2012 with “The Amazing Spider-Man.”
