Suicide Squad is a 2016 superhero movie directed by David Ayer and based on the DC Comics antihero team of the same name. The movie follows a group of supervillains who are recruited by the government to carry out a dangerous mission in exchange for reduced sentences.
Overall, Suicide Squad received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. Some praised the movie’s action sequences, soundtrack, and performances from certain cast members, while others criticized its inconsistent tone, messy plot, and underdeveloped characters.
One of the standout performances in the film was Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. She brought a manic energy and dark humor to the character that was both entertaining and unsettling. Will Smith also delivered a solid performance as Deadshot, bringing depth and complexity to a character that could have been one-dimensional.
However, many of the other characters were not as well-developed, and their motivations were often unclear. The movie’s plot was also criticized for being convoluted and messy, with several subplots that didn’t always connect or make sense.
