“The Lobster” is a 2015 film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. The movie is a dark comedy-drama set in a dystopian society where single people are taken to a hotel and given 45 days to find a partner, otherwise they will be turned into an animal of their choosing and released into the wild.

The film stars Colin Farrell as David, a recently divorced man who is sent to the hotel and decides to pursue a relationship with a woman who is also staying there, played by Rachel Weisz. The movie also features John C. Reilly, Ben Whishaw, and Olivia Colman in supporting roles.

The film was well received by critics and won the Jury Prize at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. It was also nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the 89th Academy Awards.
