“There Will Be Blood” is a 2007 American drama film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Daniel Day-Lewis. The film is loosely based on the novel “Oil!” by Upton Sinclair and tells the story of an oil prospector named Daniel Plainview who becomes wealthy but ruthless in his pursuit of oil in Southern California during the early 20th century. Along the way, he clashes with a young preacher named Eli Sunday, played by Paul Dano, who seeks to gain power and influence over the local community. The film was critically acclaimed and won numerous awards, including two Academy Awards for Best Actor and Best Cinematography.
