Toy Story is a 1995 American computer-animated comedy movie directed by John Lasseter and produced by Pixar Animation Studios. The film follows the adventures of a group of toys belonging to a young boy named Andy, with the main focus on Woody, a cowboy doll voiced by Tom Hanks, and Buzz Lightyear, a space ranger action figure voiced by Tim Allen.
The movie was the first feature-length film to be entirely computer-animated, and it received critical acclaim upon its release. It was a commercial success, grossing over $373 million worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing film of 1995.
Toy Story was also nominated for three Academy Awards, including Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Song, and Best Original Score. It has since become a beloved classic and spawned two sequels, with a fourth film released in 2019.
