Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is a 2017 science fiction movie directed by Luc Besson. The movie is based on a French comic series “Valérian and Laureline” created by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mézières. The movie follows the adventures of Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne), two special agents who are tasked with maintaining order throughout the universe.

The movie is visually stunning, with a lot of creative and imaginative designs for the different alien species and worlds that Valerian and Laureline encounter. The special effects are top-notch, and the action sequences are thrilling and well-executed. The movie’s soundtrack is also noteworthy, with an original score by Alexandre Desplat.

However, despite its visual and technical achievements, the movie suffers from weak writing and character development. The chemistry between the two leads is lacking, and their performances feel wooden and unconvincing.
