“Wonder Woman” is a superhero film directed by Patty Jenkins and released in 2017. The movie is based on the DC Comics character of the same name and stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman (Diana Prince), alongside Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen, and Elena Anaya.
The movie is set during World War I, and it follows Diana’s journey from her home on the island of Themyscira to the outside world, where she fights alongside Allied forces against the Germans. Along the way, Diana discovers the truth about her past and her powers, and she becomes the hero known as Wonder Woman.
“Wonder Woman” was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $820 million worldwide. It received widespread praise for its direction, performances, and themes of feminism and empowerment, and it has been credited with breaking barriers for female-led superhero movies.
